Mid-April recap
Lake Erie
Just a short recap of the past few weeks into early March. Fishing has ranged from being outstanding to grindy. Weather and high winds have made it difficult at times to repeat previous days success, by stirring up and muddying the water, or just plain unaccessible.
Typical spring time tactics of short leads on long body crankbaits continue to be productive. We are now about a week or two into changing to post spawn tactics which include longer leads on Bandit crankbaits and a mix of Husky Jerks and Scatter Raps and as the water warms we will be transitioning to nightcrawler harnesses.
